From Ric Moylan:
There was a moment that changed everything.
And even now, it still hurts to write this.
My niece, Sofia, passed away at just 12 days old.
My poor sister and brother-in-law.
It devastated our family.
And it changed me forever.
The neonatal unit in Manchester fought for her life with everything they had.
But it wasn’t enough.
I couldn’t do anything to save my niece.
But I could fight for others like her.
Babies like beautiful Daisy and the amazing Carter who have fought and grown to be healthy happy children (pictures used with the permission of their families).
That’s why I founded Charity Boxing Nights.
My grief became purpose.
Since then, we’ve raised over £600,000 for a cause that deserves so much more.
We’ve seen people train, transform, and walk out different than they came in.
And we’ve done it together:
Coaches. Fighters. Sponsors. Ticket buyers.
And those who always support, without asking for anything back.
To every single one of you: thank you.
You’re part of the CBN family now.
And to those stepping forward to take on the challenge, know this:
You won’t just change your own life.
You’ll help save one.
And you’ll carry it with you for the rest of your life.
The mission isn’t slowing down.
Because this was never just about boxing.
It’s about babies who fight to live from the moment they are born.
It’s about legacy.
And legacy doesn’t stop when the gloves come off.
